Advantages of Polyurethane-Covered Rollers
These rollers offer many advantages to metal and plastic rollers. Most of our standard rollers can be offered with polyurethane sleeves. Polyurethane sleeves offer many advantages in certain applications.
Some of the advantages are:
- Will not mar finish on products being conveyed.
- Have extraordinary cut and abrasion resistance.
- Absorbs shock and reduces noise levels by up to 10 decibels.
- Increases traction by up to 15% versus uncoated rollers.
Our standard covered roller uses a polyurethane sleeve that is installed at the factory. The standard covering is a 1/8” thick 83 shore “A” orange sleeve and is available on 1-3/8”, 1.9, and 2-1/2 diameter rollers. More sleeve options are available. Call for a quote.
